I went to Schubas in July to see the album release show for band Modern Cults. The album was short, barely over fifteen minutes and there was a good energy from the friends and families in the crowd. In the small venue, the band was energetic and fit in the space perfectly. The vocals were emotional and the guitar was heavy and layered.

After listening to the studio versions as well as live, you can tell the band is finding their voice in their new release. I’m excited to see them release more music in the future, but for now, if you want a new indie rock band to listen to, Modern Cults latest release, “Transported”, and their single, “Inner Monologue” can be listened to on streaming services.
