Miya Folic, singer-songwriter from California, is currently on tour supporting the iconic duo Aly & AJ. I was able to capture some photos of her set as well which was wonderful!

Miya teased the audience towards the end with a snippet of her most recent single “Mommy” and the crowd was absolutely loving it. I was able to see Miya once before when she opened for Bishop Briggs in 2019 before the pandemic hit. It was a wonderful experience to catch her live once again. It was nice to enjoy her melodic voice. Something that I thoroughly enjoy is her ability to hold such long notes. I get goosebumps every time I think about it. Her stage presence was wonderful and has a great connection with the audience. There were not any moments that left dead air which I always appreciate. It makes the live performances that much more enjoyable. Having the ability to take some photos was also just as amazing and fantastic.

She played “Get Out of My House”, a powerful ballad about not needing that ex anymore. In anticipation of her new record Roach, out May 26th, she gives us a couple of singles to hold us off. Roach includes the highs and lows of Folick’s powerful experiences. Roach is the continuation of her EP 2007 released last year.

The tour concludes in New York, NY at the Hammerstein Ballroom. I highly encourage you catch one of her shows as her performances are always bone chilling and impactful.
