Alice Phoebe Lou @ Vic Theatre

Alice Phoebe Lou absolutely gets it when it comes to songs about love. She touches on every possible feeling, ranging from softly enchanting to passionately yearning, and sometimes even a little sexy.

Her show at the Vic Theatre on April 22nd, 2026, genuinely blew me away. She is one of the most talented artists I’ve had the pleasure of seeing, and I was grateful for the opportunity to see her once again. I first got the chance to hear her as an opening act in 2024, then saw her as a part of Strongboi this past summer. It’s been a distinctly different energy onstage each time I’ve seen her, showcasing her incredible broad range and captivating stage presence regardless of the vibe of her performances.

The most recent show, however, was a more pared-back, intimate show, featuring solely Alice onstage. The performance felt vulnerable and extremely personal, with several points of audience interaction and a nearly improvised setlist. Sporting a dress that made her look like a Disney princess (she said it, not me), she cycled through a broad range of instruments, including acoustic & electric guitar, piano, and omnichord. Despite her skills on each of these instruments, the real star of the show was her vocals. Alice is beyond talented with her singing and lyricism, with each song leaving me feeling simultaneously stunned and emotionally moved.

The show was absolutely a 10/10, with an extraordinary setlist, stage presence, audience, and artistry. Her musicality absolutely shined in the raw performance she gave, leaving the audience (and myself) enthralled. Alice Phoebe Lou, once again, most certainly did not disappoint.
