WIIT Fall 2016 Schedule Announced
Highlights include new shows like From A Motel 6 (classic Indie) and PG-13 (artist features and interviews) along with classics like The Duke’s Classic Soul and R&B Revue (Soul/R&B/Hip Hop) and The Afternoon Breeze (Jazz).
Longtime WIIT listeners will be happy to hear some of their favorite student-run programming return for the Spring semester, including long-running shows like Unknown Talent: Chicago, EDM, and May Rock Be Upon You. Some of our best community-run shows are also coming back, covering a wide range of programming from jazz to hip hop to community talk radio. Our Fall schedule officially becomes active on Monday, August 22nd, but a few of our shows have already started their run for Fall 2016. The publication of our initial Fall 2016 schedule also marks the opening of applications for new student DJs, giving any IIT, Shimer, or VanderCook student, staff, or faculty member the chance to broadcast their own music and voice across Chicago and around the world. WIIT is a completely open-format radio station, meaning that each DJ has complete control of what they play. To request a show, simply brainstorm a concept and fill out our Show Request Form!
