Show # 116: So Com Voce
This week…a really diverse lineup…maybe bordering on the bizarre. I don’t wanna give anything away now, but I promise lots of trippy fun and thoughtful meditations on life and how not to live it.
Tune in this Friday, 1 pm (Chicago time) and see if you agree. 88.9 fm on the radio dial (assuming you are planted somewhere on the main campus of IIT), or streaming live at www.radio.iit.edu
In the room where the spirit plunges….

Join me this Friday to share the sordid stories and some of the new tunes I brought back. Plus, lots of american-made magic to make even my friends from the east feel at home.
On the air LIVE this friday, 1-3 pm (Chicago time), 2 am saturday (China time), at www.radio.iit.edu or - if you are lucky enough to be on the south side of chicago this beautiful spring day - on the radio dial at 88.9 fm.

Show # 114 – “Do You Have Some Fried Chicken in Your Pocket?”
My daughter Lily’s friend likes to tell a story about when she visited the big city and a “hobo” asked her if she had some fried chicken in her pocket…a most sincere solicitation, if ever I’ve heard one. So this week, I’m playing tunes for all the fried-chicken eating hobos who listen to my show. That means I’ll be spinning melancholy from Marc Olsen, downtempo from LCD Soundsystem, something off the new Andrew Bird, and lots of psychedelic faves from the Short Man’s closet of broken dreams and unsatisfied ambitions. Plus, this is my last show before I go back to Beijing, so I guarantee a little of that Chinese punk – maybe Brain Failure? Joyside? Carsick Cars?
